Student Academic Management System, i.e. SAMS, is a single window online platform used to manage the admission, administration, registration, form fill-up etc. activities of the Higher Secondary Schools of the State. SAMS is an Online based Admission/Administration System which carried out through online mode for all pre and post admission activities. The portal supports various modern technologies such as – Online Payment Gateway, auto/bulk SMS, WhatsApp, and auto/bulk Email for student admission. This online system facilitates the students to take admission into various streams of Class XI i.e. Arts, Commerce, Science, Vocational and Sanskrit.
e-Admission aims at successful use of Information Technology to make the admission process simple, economical, fast and transparent. This process is accomplished using Computers and Internet. At present, SAMS covers e-Admission for various other departments, other than Higher Secondary Schools under Schools & Mass Education Department: Degree, ITI, Diploma, Teacher Education, Physical Education, and Music. The detailed process of admission is explained in the Common Prospectus (CP) available separately for applicants.
Various information such as name, address, contact details & detailed profile of different Higher Secondary Schools coming under the e-Admission process can be obtained from the website i.e. www.samsodisha.gov.in
The complete admission process along with the dateline for e-Admission is published on "Key Dates" section of the website i.e.  www.samsodisha.gov.in.
The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed through "New Student Login" module available in the website www.samsodisha.gov.in in along with the Common Prospectus (CP) which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
You need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP, take print copies of the HSS Copy & Applicant Copy and submit at selected HSS during the time of admission along with the photo copies of the documents as mentioned in the CP/Intimation letter.

1. Candidates who opted for Slide-up request in 1st selection and not selected in the 1st & 2nd round will be considered for SPOT selection.

2. Desirous students may be logged in to the student log in created under SAMS to exercise their new preference of choices (not necessarily out of the preferred Higher Secondary Schools at the time of application) in the SPOT selection admission round during the stipulated timeline.

3. SPOT Selection merit list will be prepared centrally and Intimation Letter will be generated in the student login. The SPOT Selection merit list also will be available in the respective e-Space.

4. Selection information will be shared through WhatsApp & SMS

You can access the Individual Higher Secondary School Profiles available on the website and get various details such as streams available, cut-off percentage of last three years, availability of hostel & fees, admission fees, etc.
An applicant has to choose minimum five(05) nos. of higher secondary school as preferences of choice in her/his CAF and can add any number (more than five) of higher secondary schools as choice of preference
An option is a combination of a particular Higher Secondary School & Stream/Trade. You should exercise your options in order of preference only i.e. the most preferred option to be opted first.
No. The selection will be conducted on the basis of merit & reservations. Student will be selected against any one option only.
Multiple choice of preference is much needed because, the selection will be done on merit basis. So, there are more chances to get selected in your lower preferred Higher Secondary Schools, if incase you didn't get selected in your 1st choice of preference. For example, if you apply with five options and you get selected against the 3rd option, then your status for 1st & 2nd option is open for the sliding up in subsequent rounds In case of vacancy arises due to non-joining of selected candidates.
A field in the CAF has been incorporated to capture the data of a National Means cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Awardee. NMMS awardees are required to provide their Roll Number, except the first three digits, their 8th standard school name is automatically retrieved in CAF.

•₹200/- per CAF for General category applicants

•₹100/- per CAF for ST/SC applicants (provide authentic documents for verification & validation during the time of admission at HSS). If the ST/SC applicants fail to show the authentic documents, they will have to make payment of ₹200/- in their admission HSS.

•₹0.0/- per CAF for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) of more than 40% disability, Transgender and Orphan applicants (Authentic document has to be submitted at the time of admission).

Unique Student Id is system generated,16 digit id assigned to every student which doesn't change through the student's lifecycle. It is available in theTC or SLC generated fromExtended MIS Portal (OSEPA) not in physical copy. It helps to enable complete identification of any child available in the Extended MIS.
No. Once the CAF is submitted online and payment has been completed, no modifications can be made. However, If you have applied by giving some wrong information, then you can apply another CAF by using a different phone number.
The Index Number is otherwise known as Money Receipt-cum-Index Number (MRIN). Your MRIN is unique and the only gateway to know about your application status till the admissions is completed. You can check your application status & that of others through MRIN only.

The merit lists are published on the scheduled date & time. You can check your selection status by logging in to student e-space portal www.samsodisha.gov.in

You will also be intimated exclusively through SMS, Email & WhatsApp (if proper mobile number & email address is provided in the CAF). You can also download the intimation letter from the website www.samsodisha.gov.in at the link 'Know Your CAF Status'. No postal intimation shall be sent for any selection.
You will get the complete status of your application by logging in to your own student e-Space portal www.samsodisha.gov.in
List of the documents required is given in the Intimation Letter. Arrange all the requisites for admission such as original certificates for verification, CAF print-out copy, passport size photo, admission fees & report to the Principal of the destination Higher Secondary School on the scheduled date & time.

It is very much necessary for the applicant for easy conveyance of e-Admission related information i.e.

Notification- 1: Download option of Intimation Letter enable in Student SAMS login

Notification- 2: Slide-up option enable in Student SAMS login

Notification- 3: Transfer Admission option enable for both Class- XI & XII in Student SAMS login

Yours could be one of the following three cases only

Case-1: You had applied only one option

You must take admission on the scheduled date & time or else your name will be completely removed from the system for this particular academic session.

Case-2: You had applied multiple options and selected against first option

You are selected for first option denotes that your application status for lower options have automatically been closed and you must take admission on the scheduled date & time or else your name will be completely removed from the system for this particular academic session.

Case-3: You had applied multiple options and selected against a lower option

You are selected against any of the lower options and don’t want to take admission in that Higher Secondary School/HSS. In such a case, you need to take admission there. And apply for the slide-up. If in case of vacancy arises in HSS/Higher Secondary Schools of higher choice, you will be slided up.

Admission will be completed in three steps: i.e. First Selection, Second Selection & Spot Admission for the applicants who have applied online. After second selection, the seats will be de-reserved for the spot admission.
"Slide-up Request" of CP i.e. option for the applicants who getselected against their lower option and want to slide up to higher options in the subsequent selection. If you submit the request Form by selecting‘Yes’ it means that you wish to move up for your higher preference HSS, if in case of vacancy arises.
No postal intimation to the selected applicants will be sent. If you have given your mobile number and/or email address you would have definitely received sms/email if selected. You can also download the intimation letter from the website (www.samsodisha.gov.in) by logging in to your own student dashboard.
Yes, your entire admission fees will be returned to you by the previous Higher Secondary School except for Rs. 100/- as processing. The CLC will be issued with Intimation Letter. Principal signature on computer generated CLC is not required.
